The first nine volumes of the greatest superhero comic in the universe from visionary creator Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead)- along with acclaimed artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley- are collected in one massive paperback edition- as Mark Grayson discovering that having his father superpowers and being a hero isn't what he expected! INVINCIBLE comic issues #0-47 (trade paperback volumes 1 through 9) It’s time to strap-in and finish Invincible! Invincible 24: The End of All Things-Part 1 is followed by the final volume in the series Invincible 25: The End of All Things-Part 2.(W) Kirkman, Robert (A) Ottley, Ryan (C) Ottley, Ryan Once the title Invincible is gone, the character is gone…that means there can be no coming back the events of the next issue. Invincible is in a pocket universe and not part of a bigger series of books. The characters take beatings that haven’t been seen before in comics, but often the main characters just bounce back stronger than ever (though facing psychological damage). Invincible has always been a slightly dangerous comic. Here, a return to Earth means the Robot problem could rise again and it appears that Robot’s actions could spark the second half of the two part ending storyline. The whole situation on Earth was left rather open ended in classic Invincible style with Mark and Eve just leaving Earth under Robot’s control. While a majority of the book focuses on the lead up and the attack on the Viltrumites, the subplot feels like it is setting up the second half of “the end”. ![]() With mistakes in comics, there is often redemption, but with a book like Invincible there is a good chance that redemption leads to heartache. The volume is about mistakes (like Allen’s actions accidentally leading to Oliver’s death and Nolan’s initial decision to let Thragg go in the first place). The whole collection is about the final onslaught with the Viltrumites led by Thragg. The title of this volume could easily have been Invincible: The Viltrumite War II. The series has always been a glorious, bloody mess and there are no stops in place for who could die and how. Invincible has always been a six issue arc type comic, and now Kirkman is going all out. With a “ Part 1” title, you know that the normal Invincible pattern is going to suffer a change-up. Issues in this volume were also collected as part of Invincible Ultimate Collection-Volume 12 and Invincible Compendium-Volume 3. Following Invincible 23: Full House, the collection features art by Ryan Ottley. ![]() Written by Robert Kirkman, Invincible Volume 24: The End of All Things-Part 1 is an Image-Skybound superhero comic book collection.
